Dakota joined the Dunbar group in Fall 2021. His research centers on designing and improving molecules with long-range magnetic coupling between transition metal centers. To achieve these objectives, he is working on the synthesis of chelating diaminodithiolate ligands and long organic nitriles. He also has investigated the synthesis and redox properties of sulfur-bridged dirhodium complexes and new ways to prepare solvated lanthanide complexes.
